Poulpe, the lamp that traps the light

The sea and one of its most symbolic inhabitants, the octopus, inspired this latest
collection from Estiluz. The Poulpe lamp is outstanding for the sensual design of its
different versions, featuring large, evocative shapes. As always, Estiluz’s designs
manage to surprise all types of people, from architects to decorators, interior designers
and final customers.
Poulpe is a product of the imagination of Oriol Llahona, one of the most successful
designers on the current scene. Inspired by the hunting methods of the octopus, the
Poulpe lamp sheds a subtle and delicate light.

The table lamp is manufactured in a single piece of rigid polyurethane foam. The design
is clean and its base of which comprises the four legs, which bend and cross in the
middle.
The Poulpe standard lamp is a surprise, with a design characterised by the continuity of
the material used to manufacture it: Rigid polyurethane foam.
This is the hanging version. The circular shade gives it an elegant air, with the distinction
of a lamp destined to become a classic.

Oriol Llahona

Oriol Llahona is one of Spanish Industrial Design’s most promising emerging values;
although from looking at his curriculum it would be fair to use the word "established"
rather than "promising". His academic record is impeccable. He graduated in Industrial
Design from the Elisava-Universidad Pompeu Fabra. With a view to obtaining the
training that would allow him to move in different fields and do his work rigorously, he
has also done courses at the Universitätt Essen in Germany and the University of
Southampton in the United Kingdom.
