Thales, a collection that reflects the poetry of a drop of water

Estiluz expands its universe of luminaires with Thales, a new collection designed by Joan Cinca that explores the delicacy, tension, and natural beauty of a water drop in perfect balance. The series consists of a pendant and a wall lamp, both crafted in opal glass and conceived from a gesture as simple as pressing a drop without breaking the laminar layer that defines its shape.

A design inspired by nature and the physics of water

The idea behind Thales originates from the moment when a drop, when pressed, deforms while maintaining its integrity and volume. That instant of balance, between gravity and surface tension, is translated into a luminaire with soft, organic, and timeless lines. Joan Cinca interprets this physical phenomenon with contemporary sensitivity, creating an object that combines visual poetry and technical rationality.

The pendant version features an opal glass shade with a gently compressed contour, evoking the shape of a drop at the very moment before it detaches. At the top, the piece incorporates a circular element that integrates a counterweight and allows the vertical alignment to be adjusted with precision, giving the whole a perfect sense of balance.

The Thales wall lamp retains the same opal glass shade but incorporates a decorative front disc that acts as a graphic detail and prevents direct light. This combination creates a soft, atmospheric lighting effect, generating a warm and visually pleasant sensation. In addition, the decorative disc can be used as a signage support, integrating information in an elegant and functional way. With IP44 certification, the wall lamp is suitable for bathrooms and damp areas, expanding installation possibilities without compromising design. Both models are available in three finishes, metallic gold, bronze, and anthracite black, ensuring aesthetic coherence across all types of projects.

A collection that transforms a natural gesture into a lighting proposal of great sensitivity. Its refined design, the quality of its materials, and the subtlety of its light turn each piece into an element capable of bringing identity and balance to any space. Both models integrate naturally into contemporary spaces and warm environments, casting a homogeneous, enveloping light that enhances the atmosphere and enriches everyday experience, ideal for both residential and contract applications.
