Volta, Circ, and Revolta collections by Estiluz illuminate the Hotel Palazzo Cordusio in the historic heart of Milan
In the heart of Milan, just steps from the iconic Piazza del Duomo, the historic Palazzo Cordusio has been reborn as the majestic Hotel Palazzo Cordusio Gran Meliá. This architectural restoration and interior design project, created by Álvaro and Adriana Sans of ASAH Studio, blends Milanese elegance with Mediterranean warmth in an environment where every detail evokes history, comfort, and sophistication.
In this exceptional setting, Estiluz has contributed its luminous signature through the Volta, Circ, and Revolta collections designed by Nahtrang Studio, precisely integrated into guest rooms and suites. These luminaires balance functionality and emotion, reinforcing the dialogue between the building’s original 19th-century architecture and ASAH’s refined contemporary interior design.
Volta: balance and geometry in the resting areas
In the rooms, the Volta collection gracefully defines the lighting above the bed headboards. Its wall-mounted version with the characteristic arch is paired with the single pendant version on the opposite side—a subtle, asymmetric play of geometries that enhances the room’s architectural character. The metal arc and clean lines harmonize with noble materials such as wood, stone, and soft textiles, adding a touch of timeless modernity.
Circ: cozy light and natural elegance
In both bathrooms and bedrooms, the Circ collection offers a soft, enveloping light that enhances the sense of wellbeing. Wall sconces frame the mirrors in the bathrooms, while floor lamps provide a discreet yet essential presence beside armchairs and sofas. In some rooms, wall sconces further complement the ambient lighting, creating warm atmospheres that integrate seamlessly with the palette of natural materials and custom-designed furniture by Adriana Sans. Circ’s spherical design and diffused light evoke the serenity of artisanal craftsmanship, enhancing visual comfort and the relaxed character of the space.
Revolta: dynamism and focused light
In certain areas, the Revolta collection adds a sculptural touch to the composition. Its suspended circular forms create movement and depth, complementing the dialogue between classic and contemporary elements that defines the project. Revolta’s focused light accentuates the textures of materials while becoming a sculptural feature in its own right.
Light and classical architecture: an elevated hospitality experience
The Hotel Palazzo Cordusio Gran Meliá project demonstrates how decorative lighting can integrate harmoniously within a heritage context, enhancing architectural essence while maintaining comfort and innovation.
Together with ASAH studio, Estiluz reaffirms its commitment to emotional design and excellence in high-end hospitality projects—where every luminaire becomes part of the architectural language and the guest’s sensory experience.
