Joan Cinca
Product designer with experience in national and international projects in fields such as lighting, industrial design, and furniture. His work is characterized by an analytical and curious approach, where functionality and aesthetics come together naturally. He places the concept at the core of each project, understanding that a solid idea is the foundation for developing clear, useful, and visually coherent proposals. He is interested in thoroughly understanding the needs of each assignment and turning them into well-defined solutions.
An engineer from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and a designer trained at the Barcelona School of Architecture, he completed a Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Pompeu Fabra University. After more than four years in the automotive industry, he entered the field of product design alongside Oriol Guimerà at the Tactica studio, a stage that led to the creation of his own studio, guimeràicinca. He later founded laproduqtora, where he offers product design and technical development, and in 2017 began a collaboration with Engi-Com, in addition to working with Dennis Park. He has taught at Elisava, IED, and Llotja.
He currently collaborates with international companies, contributing creativity and design management, and his career includes participation in fairs and exhibitions in cities such as Milan, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Essen, Cologne, and Paris. His designs have been recognized with awards such as the Red Dot Design Award, the Delta ADI-FAD Awards, the German Design Award, and the Good Design Award.
