In the heart of Midtown Manhattan, the new Amenity Space at 31 Penn Plaza redefines the workplace experience through an interior design focused on well-being, community, and flexibility. Developed by Vanbarton Group and designed by TPG Architecture, the project positions lighting as a key element in transforming the building’s sixth floor into a sophisticated and welcoming meeting place. Within this context, Estiluz’s Circ collection plays a fundamental role in shaping the atmosphere of the space.

Circ: geometry, presence, and elegance

Integrated as the main light above the lounge bar, Circ provides soft, balanced illumination that complements this informal work setting. Its clean, geometric design creates an elegant presence, visually structuring the space without overpowering it, while also casting indirect light throughout the surrounding lounge area.

Circ helps create a relaxed and comfortable environment, supporting both social interaction and moments of pause or focused work, and reinforcing the lounge’s identity as a hybrid, versatile space.

Lighting and architecture in dialogue

Circ’s timeless character engages in a natural dialogue with the architectural language developed by TPG Architecture, which blends historical references to the building—originally constructed in 1926 as the Greeley Arcade—with a contemporary, refined aesthetic. Deep-toned materials, reflective surfaces, and carefully calibrated lighting transform the space into an environment that evolves throughout the day.

With this project, Estiluz demonstrates how decorative lighting can act as a strategic element in workspaces, bringing identity, comfort, and emotional value.
