Double recognition for Estiluz at the 2025 Best of Year Awards: Volta Memphis, an icon of the past two decades, and Belt, this year’s Honorary Award winner

The Volta and Belt collections have been recognized by Interior Design magazine in the prestigious Best of Year Awards 2025, awards that celebrate excellence, innovation, and the power of design to create identity and emotion. After being selected as finalists earlier this year, both collections advanced through the voting stages to receive this recognition. This edition is particularly significant, as the awards celebrate their 20th anniversary, consolidating their position as one of the most influential events in the international design sector. Winners are honored with publication in the renowned magazine and highlighted to a community of over five million design professionals and enthusiasts.

Volta Memphis: Best of the Best

The iconic pendant lamp designed by Nahtrang Studio, in the version developed with the creative team at Tactica, has received the Best of the Best award in the Pendant Lighting category. This special distinction, created to mark the awards’ 20th anniversary, recognizes the most iconic products of the past two decades. The accolade highlights our vision of design as a living process: a bold and expressive version that pays homage to the movement led by Ettore Sottsass, a reference for the so-called “anti-design” of the 1980s.

Color, geometry, and a radical attitude define this special edition, which creates a natural dialogue between Memphis and Nahtrang: from creative references to reinterpreted inspiration in a unique piece. This creative exercise comes full circle, presenting Volta as never before in a limited edition of 55 numbered units commemorating Estiluz’s 55th anniversary.

Belt: Honorary Award

Meanwhile, Belt, designed by ilmiodesign, has been honored with the Honorary Award in the Pendant Fixtures category. The jury recognized its innovative approach, refined geometry, and seamless integration into architectural and interior design projects. A flexible and expressive luminaire, Belt has a strong visual presence while maintaining a light, elegant aesthetic.

This dual recognition reinforces Estiluz’s commitment to careful design, technical excellence, and creative freedom, developing luminaires intended to accompany architects, interior designers, and lighting professionals in projects that aim to go beyond the conventional.
