Circ’s sculptural lighting enhances a landmark luxury hotel in Madrid
Opened in September 2024, Casa de las Artes Meliá Collection is Meliá’s fourth luxury hotel in Madrid and the brand’s first Meliá Collection property on the Iberian Peninsula. The project, developed by Álvaro and Adriana Sans of Studio ASAH, has received wide international attention, with notable features in publications such as Forbes, Architectural Digest, and Wallpaper*, highlighting its cultural focus and carefully curated interior design concept.
Within this context, Estiluz contributes to defining the hotel’s welcome area through the Circ collection, integrated into the lobby as a focal element.
Circ: an iconic, sculptural welcome
Suspended in the lobby, the Circ pendant light creates an immediate visual impact through a composition of two illuminated rings, designed for large-scale spaces and high ceilings. Its metal structure with glass diffusers and dimmable LED lighting produces an enveloping glow that enhances the warm yet sophisticated character of the space.
The ability to create different compositions by combining multiple pendants allows Circ to engage in a dialogue with the building’s architecture and reinforce the hotel’s identity, turning lighting into a key element of the guest experience from the very first moment.
Light, architecture, and international recognition
Circ’s timeless design integrates seamlessly into the conceptual universe of Casa de las Artes, where history, culture, and contemporaneity coexist in balance. The luminaire’s presence in the lobby helps reinforce an atmosphere that has been recognized by some of the world’s leading design and lifestyle publications.
With this project, Estiluz demonstrates how decorative lighting can become an iconic element in high-end hospitality projects, bringing identity, emotion, and architectural value
